Every project starts, for me, with a spark of curiosity.
As you’ve probably guessed, I’m Noémie. I got my first camera in my hands in 2012, and I never stopped: portraits, fashion, weddings, travel.
Based in France, moving wherever the projects take me, even internationally.
Whether you’re a brand, a couple, or a woman coming to live an experience in front of the lens, you’re in the right place.
What drives me is photographing those who go off the beaten path: a brand that owns a strong identity, a couple living their wedding differently, a woman embracing her uniqueness.
In love with History, travel, plays of shadow and cinematic atmospheres.
I draw a lot of inspiration from Dutch and Flemish paintings, from History, old tales and cinema, from that way of bringing a face or an entire scene to life with a single point of light.
I love experimenting, like a painter, with different techniques: double exposure, prisms, plays of light. I also play with materials, the lightness of a veil that hints at skin, the weight of velvet that absorbs light, gold that reflects it. With these techniques, I step outside reality and build an image that only exists through the lens. But I love just as much starting from scratch, a beautiful natural light can be enough on its own.
Deeply nostalgic, I like to think that we capture a piece of History, a moment where this light, this gaze, this landscape is unique. We live surrounded by images, created by Man or offered to us by nature every day. Wrongly, many think photography is truth, but it’s always an interpretation, shaped by the photographer.
Whether on a documentary-style shoot or a constructed one, I think about every image based on you, your story, and what you want to convey.
